Dr.Badam Balakrishna, a life member of the Eye Bank Association of India. According to the World Health Organization, there are about 10 million blind and visually disabled persons in India. A Corneal transplant is a surgery that replaces the opaque cornea with a clear cornea obtained from a human donor eye. Practically anybody from the age of 1 year can be an eye donor.
